FREE BACHELOR DEGREE IN PLASTIC ARTS

The main objective of the degree in plastic arts is to train professionals in the area of plastic arts, able to perform in an ideal way in their respective field of action, with a critical, creative, participatory, ethical spirit and service to the regional, national and international community.

This degree trains graduates with a high sense of social relevance, capable of solving problems in the cultural environment, of participating in the decision-making process that affects their field of action and of creating proposals aimed at solving socio-cultural problems.

This degree promotes research and development of knowledge of the plastic arts, through programs leading to the formation of suitable professionals in this area of knowledge.

To manage an academic space for teaching, research and extension activities, dedicated to the study of plastic creation, cultural reflection and artistic production, which supports the formation of resources in the area of the Plastic Arts and the socio-cultural community development of the region and the country.

Bachelor Degree in Plastic Arts is a creative and innovative professional; with communication skills through the specific artistic practice of his training; producer of artistic and cultural goods that synthesize the theory and practice in the area of the arts of his choice. 

Graduates in Plastic Arts are professional with social responsibility, critical and innovative sense that develops its own language through the identification and production of an aesthetic proposal. They investigate, experiment, generate and manage the production processes of artistic creation. 

According to the mention you select, you may be able to create visual elements from: 

  • Graphic Arts, art of engraving through printing and the use of new technologies. 
  • Ceramics, from the application of techniques derived from the arts of fire. 
  • Sculpture, from the transformation of matter (stone, wood, metals or other materials), applying the techniques of carving, modeling, assembly, installation, among others. 
  • Mixed Media, from the application of multimedia technologies; integrating diverse artistic disciplines in the construction of alternative media, such as video, photography, performance, among others. 
  • Painting, from the application of painting techniques, dominating the elements of plastic composition.
