A Bachelor in Archaeology can work in museums containing archaeological collections. He also conducts archaeological studies and excavations, under the supervision of a principal investigator, field supervisor or team leader, and must always maintain client confidentiality.

They can perform tasks associated with pedestrian studies, as well as manual excavations (shovel test, bucket drill test, 1×1 meter units, test trenches) of archaeological sites.

Archaeology graduates can take detailed field notes, draw schematic maps, excavate archaeological features, record the provenance of finds, use Munsell soil color charts, take photographs, use software programs, among other field activities.

Under direct supervision, the Archaeologist will be trained to be a team leader. He will be able to identify, evaluate, organize and preserve sites, buildings, shipwrecks and historical documents.

He or she will be able to supervise and direct the collection, recording, and interpretation of archaeological data in the field and coordinate laboratory processing and analysis activities that include cleaning, reconstruction, classification, and cataloguing of artifacts.
