FREE EXECUTIVE BACHELOR DEGREE

Definition of Executive Degree

Business executives require a good deal of formal education and work experience. Learn about training, job duties, and other requirements to see if this is the right career for you.

Business executives provide leadership to ensure the success of an organization. Generally, a bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is recommended. Most executives have many years of business experience in positions of increasing authority.

Business executives plan a company’s future by setting goals and implementing initiatives. Examples of senior business management titles include chief executive officer (CEO), chief operating officer (COO), and chief financial officer (CFO).

Not all business executives have bachelor’s degrees, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), but entering senior management may be easier for those who have completed the minimum of bachelor’s programs.

Significant industry experience is required before reaching an executive position, and most companies prefer that young employees work within the company so that they can gain valuable information as they move up the corporate ladder.

Degree in Global Business Administration

A degree program in global business management, such as the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Global Management or BS in Business Administration with a focus on international management, can provide the tools to succeed in an increasingly complex international marketplace. Many schools offer online business programs that allow students to learn key principles and concepts in the comfort of their own homes.

Students interested in following an online program can also consider business programs with a focus on international marketing or supply chain management. These related programs offer similar courses and examine related principles.

Bachelor of Business Administration: Project Management Degree

Many schools offer online Bachelor of Business Administration programs, but only a few have the option of specializing in project management.

Some of these programs can be completed 100% online. Other programs are offered in a hybrid format that combines online and on-campus courses. Most programs require four years of full-time study. However, there are degree completion programs that require two years of previous courses and only take two years to complete.

Students must complete general education courses in core subjects such as English composition, natural science and mathematics, as well as basic courses in fundamental business subjects such as accounting, management and law, and business ethics.

Some programs require a final course that allows students to apply their knowledge of these practices and principles to a real-world situation. In the online BBA programs with a focus on project management, students are introduced to the fundamentals of project planning, leadership and delivery.

This concentration is rare: most project management programs are at the graduate level. A small number of graduate programs are affiliated with the Project Management Institute (PMI), which is the official membership organization for project management professionals.
